LIMINAL PUBLIC SPACES FOR SOCIAL DESIGN

Academic Visual Research  and Writing Project

AIM: ACTIVATE UNDERUSED PUBLIC SPACES IN LONDON (LIMINAL AREAS).
APPROACH: ESTABLISH COLLAPSIBLE SHELTERS WITHIN A SUSTAINABLE CIRCULAR ECONOMY FRAMEWORK.
TARGET: AID HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS IN LONDON BOROUGHS.
PURPOSE: CREATE SAFE HAVENS FOSTERING COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT.


THE PROJECT FOCUSES ON PHYSICAL HOMELESSNESS IN LONDON BY REPURPOSING LIMINAL SPACES (E.G., ALLEYS) AND ADDRESSING THE NEEDS OF THOSE INHABITING THEM. THIS INITIATIVE PROMOTES ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS WHILE FOSTERING COMMUNITY BUILDING THROUGH INTERACTION, ART, AND DESIGN.
